Our Story

Built on Belief.
Driven by Results.

Test Horizon Academy was founded with a clear purpose: to give Denver families a genuinely different choice. Rather than accepting one-size-fits-all instruction, our founders built a charter school where small class sizes, project-based learning, and a deep STEM emphasis come together to meet each student exactly where they are.

That commitment has earned results the community can see. Test Horizon Academy has been rated a 9 out of 10 school by GreatSchools for three consecutive years, a reflection of strong academics, dedicated educators, and a school culture families trust. Every student in grades 2 through 8 receives a personal Chromebook, and our weekly enrichment blocks give learners time to go deeper than a standard school day allows.

Today, Test Horizon Academy serves 275 students across Kindergarten through 8th grade at our campus in Denver, Colorado. With a full-time special education coordinator, a part-time ESOL specialist, and individualized learning plans for every scholar, we are a school built to grow with the families who choose us.

📖

Academic Rigor

Rigorous, joyful academics are at the heart of everything we do. From individualized learning plans to honors math starting in 6th grade, we hold high expectations for every scholar.

How We Teach

A Curriculum Built for
Every Learner

At Test Horizon Academy, project-based learning with a strong STEM emphasis means students do not just receive knowledge. They apply it, question it, and build with it. Our educational model is designed to meet each student as an individual while preparing all scholars for the demands of high school and beyond.

Learning Model

Project-Based Learning with STEM Emphasis

Real-world projects anchor our curriculum across all grade levels, giving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade hands-on experience with critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving.

Personalization

Individualized Learning Plans

Every student receives a personalized learning plan. Weekly small-group intervention sessions ensure that no scholar falls behind, while advanced learners are challenged with honors math starting in 6th grade.

Technology

One-to-One Chromebook Program

Students in grades 2 through 8 each receive their own Chromebook, supporting digital literacy and enabling a level of personalized learning that most district schools cannot offer.

Enrichment

Weekly Enrichment Blocks and Student Clubs

An extended enrichment day gives students time beyond the standard curriculum to explore robotics club, art club, and student council, deepening engagement and building well-rounded scholars.
